Effective date: 28 August 2026 Extension: Recruiter Contact Finder (Chrome extension)
Recruiter Contact Finder is a personal productivity tool. It reads text that is already displayed on the LinkedIn page you are viewing and helps you collect it. It has no server, no account, no analytics, and no advertising.
Everything below is stored only on your own computer, using the browser’s
chrome.storage.local API. It is never transmitted to the developer or to any
third party.
| Data | Why | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| Résumé text you paste into the Settings screen | To score how well a job posting matches your skills | chrome.storage.local on your device |
| Contacts you explicitly click Save contact on | So you can review and export them later | chrome.storage.local on your device |
| The most recent page scan (recruiter names, emails, phones, links found on the current tab) | To show it in the popup | chrome.storage.session — cleared when you close the browser |
| Your theme choice (system / light / dark) | Interface preference | chrome.storage.local on your device |
You can erase all of it at any time by removing the extension, or via
chrome://extensions → Details → Extension options / site data.
In the Web Store listing this extension discloses that it handles personally identifiable information (the résumé you paste and the contacts you save, which contain names, emails and phone numbers) and website content (it reads text and links from the LinkedIn page you are viewing). “Handles” here means reads on your device — none of it is collected by, or transmitted to, the developer or any third party. See the table above for exactly what is stored and where.
https://www.linkedin.com.The extension makes network requests to www.linkedin.com only, and only
when you ask it to:
linkedin.com/jobs/view/… and the
jobs-guest description endpoint) so it can read the required skills. These
requests use your existing LinkedIn browser session, exactly as if you had
clicked each job yourself. The responses are parsed on your device and
discarded; nothing from them is stored or sent onward. No other domain is ever contacted.
When you click Export CSV, the extension builds the file in memory and your browser saves it to your computer. The file never leaves your machine unless you send it somewhere yourself.
